A tea thought

A tea thought

I’ve always found it interesting how something as simple as tea can say so much about a person.

Somewhere along the way, tea quietly became part of our everyday rhythm. Everyone around us drinks tea, but no two cups are ever the same. One prefers it strong and aromatic. Another takes it without sugar. One needs milk, while someone else adds lemon to it. The same drink is interpreted differently by every individual.

Maybe people are a little like that too.

We all carry our own preferences, habits, and ways of moving through the world. Yet somehow, we all come back to the same small ritual that grounds us. For many of us, mornings begin with the smell of tea — a warm cup in hand and thoughts drifting in quietly.

Tea has a way of slowing the mind just enough for us to hear ourselves clearly. Some conversations begin there. Some ideas do too. And sometimes, it’s simply a moment to sit still before the world asks something from us again.

I often think there’s comfort in these repeated rituals — the small things we return to every day without questioning why. Because in the end, maybe it was never just about the tea. Maybe it was always about who we are, or who we became.

Happy International Tea Day.
